Ceramics with Samantha Llodra is structured for beginner to intermediate level ceramicists. Skills developed through the workshop include basic wheel throwing, trimming and hand building techniques. Students will begin with basic wheel throwing and advance to cups, bowls and bottles depending on individual skill level. Students with intermediate skills can choose their own projects to be completed with the aid of the instructor.
Materials will be provided.
Studio Practice: Ceramics with Samantha Llodra is 5 two-hour classes over the course of 5 consecutive Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The class dates are August 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and September 5th. Students can choose to participate in a single session or multiple sessions to build their skill level. Classes are purchased individually.

Instructor Bio
Samantha Llodra graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Art Education, and a minor in Ceramics. Samantha balances the roles of being both a teacher and an artist. She dedicates herself to her students every day, while continuing to pursue her love for Ceramics by creating, improving, and learning any chance she gets. Her work is mainly functional, and draws inspiration from her practices as an educator, as she calls herself and her students to think critically and problem solve to go beyond general aesthetics while creating working vessels.
